band boosters
The UHS Band is fortunate to have a highly efficient and effective boosters organization.
This boosters organization does a lot of its work through electronic means now, but we do schedule meetings several times a year to plan major events. Meeting times are announced through the various communication tools that the band has set up.
We invite all parents and/or guardians to participate.

Want to be a UHS Band Volunteer? You can earn volunteer credits toward your child's yearly Band Operating Fee and CUED Fees!

Volunteering:
The band needs assistance from many families to run smoothly - and there are several ways you can help:
Chaperones – Help supervise the students during competitions/spectaculars/away football trips, etc. (One trip earns $25 credit).
Football Games - Assist with snacks/drinks, front ensemble roadie crew, etc. before and after game ($25 credit/game).
Uniform Alterations & Distribution – Under the direction of the booster’s uniform chair, you can help get our students looking good in the UHS uniform (4 hrs required for $25 credit).
Band Camp Helper – Prepare and serve food/drinks & provide first aide (4 hrs required for $25 credit).
After-School Helpers - Help students during after-school practices (4 hrs required for $25 credit).
Truck Driver – Pull the band trailer to parades, away games, competitions/spectaculars, and spring festival.
Showcase of Bands – There are several jobs available for the Showcase. Parents will receive a $50 volunteer credit for this event.
There are dozens of ways you can get involved as a UHS Band parent from helping with water, uniforms, meals, and even bus/trip chaperones.
